About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team within a dynamic business environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining applications, ensuring smooth operation, and collaborating with various teams to improve processes and automate procedures. This role requires strong technical expertise, proactive incident management, and continuous engagement with development teams.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage and resolve production incidents.
  • Follow up and coordinate changes and technical operations (e.g., electrical shutdown, server maintenance, disaster recovery procedures).
  • Participate in change management for applications and infrastructure, collaborating with teams such as development, system administration, database administration, and networking.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, including architecture, procedures, and supervision requirements.
  • Manage backup data and conduct regular restoration tests.
  • Monitor applications and infrastructure to ensure compliance with SLAs across all business lines.
  • Control and optimize application load capacity.
  • Contribute to continuous automation and process improvement.
  • Work closely with development teams to define application architecture in alignment with infrastructure standards.

Main Technical Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
  • Experience with BMC/Control-M or other industrial schedulers.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Understanding of database concepts.
  • Experience with infrastructure backups and monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of LDAP, Firewall, Reverse Proxy, Active Directory, and Kerberos.
  • Solid networking knowledge.
